Review

Lilith developed psychic powers as a child. The adult Lilith traces
missing children for the Toronto police force. Her private mission is to
find Benjamin, who may or may not be missing. Lemon, her daughter, also
has a mission—to make contact with her unknown father. Both searches
lead to Vancouver and the psychiatric hospital where the teenage Lilith
was a patient.

This novel has flaws. The writing is overloaded with similes and
metaphors, there are numerous typographical errors, and the storyline is
too frequently advanced by means of coincidences and dreams.

Nevertheless, there are some interesting insights and a lyrical quality
to the writing that make Ten Good Seconds of Silence pleasant to read.
