Review

This compilation of erotica is notable for its diversity and quirkiness.
Contributions include the frankly erotic “Dick and Jane Have Sex”
and “Is There a Better Time (Than This)?”, the good-humored and
witty “Never Buy Too Much Life Insurance,” the cynical “Your Large
Nose Etcetera,” the colloquial “Ya Gotta Know Yr CanLit,” the
respectful and affectionate “The Marriage Bed,” the wistful
“Peaches,” and the lyrical “Love You ’Til I Die.” The editor,
a veteran poet and himself a contributor, has opted for a judicious mix
of familiar and emerging names, including Alberta’s Richard Stevenson
and Toronto’s Bruce Meyer. I Want to Be the Poet of Your Kneecaps is
recommended for adult collections.
