Review

Rob Carrick is a no-nonsense writer who is well known for his personal
finance columns in The Globe and Mail. Guy Anderson is a trader at a
brokerage firm. Together they deliver a nuts-and-bolts guide to online
investing.

To buy and sell stocks and bonds via the Internet you need a trading
account. You can open an account with either a full-service broker
(expensive and intimidating) or a discount broker (cheap but with no
advice). With an Internet connection and a trading account, you’re
ready to join the excitement of Bay street investing from the comfort of
your home.

As the authors make clear, buying and selling stocks are activities no
longer restricted to the be rich or privileged. The step-by-step
guidelines presented in their well-organized and lucidly written book
will have you trading like a pro in no time.
