Review

Aimed primarily at the elementary grades (K–6), this book offers a
wealth of information on incorporating the computer in the classroom.
Individual chapters cover such topics as learning cooperatively with
computers, incorporating the Internet into the classroom, assessment and
evaluation, keyboarding skills, and integrated activities. Many of the
chapters have reproducible sheets that can be used in the classroom, and
the structured steps and processes are clearly laid out. Schwartz and
Willing offer simple yet workable plans and lessons to get the young
child involved with computers. Their book is recommended as a good
starting point for elementary teachers who have minimal experience with
computers and their application in the classroom.
