Shelley Leedahl has been on the literary scene since 1987. A variety of
fiction, nonfiction, children’s, and poetry books have won her
numerous awards and nominations. Tell Me Everything begins when Natasha,
13, participates in a fundraising bike-a-thon with her older sister
Holly and a group of other teenagers. The group later accepts a ride
home during a torrential thunderstorm and are soon overcome with panic
while they huddle in complete darkness in the back of the huge
semi-transport truck, wondering if it will ever stop. The reader is held
in suspense about this fateful ride until the very end. Meanwhile,
Natasha is left wondering about her sister’s migraines and her
mother’s mood swings. The family is hiding a secret. Time keeps moving
ahead and Natasha and her siblings keep up the pace, with boyfriends,
marriage, children, tragedies, abuse, and divorce. Decades later,
Natasha’s memory gets jolted when she meets one of the boys from that
long-ago bike-a-thon. The reader is kept on high alert throughout this
fascinating, tension-filled mystery.
