Review

In this entertaining book, Tom Henry chronicles Dave Brown’s
remarkable boxing adventures and misadventures, from his days as one of
Canada’s premier amateur boxers, to his success as a manager, to his
service as a highly respected judge with the World Boxing Council. Henry
has drawn a picture of a man of integrity who was completely devoted to
the sport of boxing and, in particular, to the boxers. The book consists
of a series of vignettes, some of which concern such famous
personalities such as Muhammad Ali, George Chuvalo, Archie Moore, and
Rocky Marciano. The author has tied these vignettes together in a smooth
and engaging narrative that leaves the reader wanting more.
