Review

This superb very user-friendly guide will prove invaluable for tourists
traveling throughout Quebec. It provides information not only on
accommodation, but also on unique dining and recreational opportunities
as well. The book covers seven categories of establishments: B & Bs,
Country Inns, Country and City Homes, Farm Stays, Country-Style Dining,
Regional Dining, and Farm Tours. The information is efficiently
organized by type of service and by region and can quickly be retrieved
with the aid of the table of contents, maps, and the index. A table of
symbols with explanations is also included.

Each establishment is clearly indicated on a regional map, making it
easy to select accommodations according to the itinerary chosen. For
each entry there is a very full description, including name(s) of the
proprietor(s), a sketch of the building, a brief description of its
features and services, rating classification, languages spoken, rates,
directions to the site, postal address, telephone number, and,
frequently, fax, Web site, and e-mail address. A middle section features
dozens of color photographs of the many charming lodgings listed in the
book.
