Review
This book provides detailed descriptions of eight automobile trips in
the Georgian Bay area. Backroad routes for sightseeing from Collingwood,
Blue Mountain, Meaford, Owen Sound, and Thornbury are included, along
with a fall color tour of the Beaver Valley. Local history and stories
from each area add background interest. All routes could be traveled by
mountain bike, because the region is quite hilly. Also included in the
book are detailed, easy-to-read maps, with arrows to mark the routes,
and travel recipes by Keri Roberts. Daytrips on the Backroads will
appeal to travelers and property owners in the Grey County-Collingwood
area.
