Review

Written by a registered dietitian, this book offers informed and
realistic advice on healthy living. Part 1 focuses on nutrition,
sensible eating, and weight management. Musk answers commonly raised
questions about a wide variety of nutritional issues, demystifies the
reading of food labels, and presents workable strategies for maintaining
dietary goals. Part 2 deals with fitness. Here Musk discusses the
interrelationship between physical activity and food, and shows readers
how to establish and maintain realistic goals. A third section, on
self-esteem, is superficial and not up to the standards of this
otherwise excellent resource.

The strength of this book lies in its realistic approach to
identifying, setting, and working toward personal goals in weight
management and physical fitness. A central message of the book is that
personal well-being can be achieved through a variety of means. Musk
provides her readers with a wealth of options that will enable them to
make informed choices.

Well-presented, easy-to-read, and full of menu plans and sample
recipes, Feel Fantastic is an excellent book to keep handy in the
kitchen.
