Review

This handy guide, which details the hiking trails in Gros Morne and
Terra Nova national parks and five national historic sites in
Newfoundland, has many fine points. Each trail is described and
summarized, and directions are given on how to find it. (There are more
than 26 hikes for Gros Morne Park alone.) The trails range in length
from 1 to 9.5 kilometres, and points of interest as well as average
walking time are noted. The guide is fully illustrated, and there are
several pages of useful background information on each historic site.
