Gom skilfully weaves together the many strands of Vicky’s chaotic
life in this well-written and intriguing book. Vicky is a modern heroine
juggling responsibilities with personal needs. The story centres on her
suspicions concerning Richard, the neighbor with two children. The
issues she has with her father and his unknown past are echoed in the
events surrounding her return to teaching and the progress of her
hospitalized husband.

A twist ending concludes this well-crafted mystery, which is a pleasure
to read.
