Review

Meditation is a practice that can centre us in our own lives and ground
us in the wider world. It is a process that gives rise to fundamental
questions: What are we about? Where are we in our own life story? What
is the broader meaning of our experience of life? In this book, Sharon
Butala shares with us her explorations of her personal world—a world
informed and inspired by the natural world. The collection offers essays
on such topics as vulnerability, alienation, and belonging. If you love
good writing in general and the personal essay in particular, you will
love this book. Highly recommended.
