Review

This anthology of work by young poets is a worthy successor to previous
collections compiled by Al Purdy (Storm Warning 1 and 2) and Dennis Lee
(The New Canadian Poets). Truly diverse in the multicultural and
regional mix it reflects, this volume features poets for whom the craft
of writing is clearly important. Standouts include Tim Bowling, whose
work features natural experiences and motifs, and Stephanie Bolster, who
contributes highly appealing poems based on Alice’s Adventures in
Wonderland.
