Review

As this fourth book in the Harriet Hubbley mystery series opens, Harriet
has parted ways with her lover Judy, a development that has been
excruciatingly slow in coming. Intrigue enters the life of the
distraught Harriet when she and some pals visit San Francisco for the
International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and her host topples over a
theatre balcony to her death. It’s Harriet’s task to sort everything
out in this implausible but entertaining mystery, which could just as
easily have been titled Sex, Lies, and Celluloid.
