Ross’s cellmate, Garret, is serving time for his role in an
armored-car heist that left the guards dead. Garret’s accomplice,
Billy, took off with the $120,000 and later was found dead in a swimming
pool. When Garret dies of cancer, Ross begins a correspondence with his
cellmate’s girlfriend, Shannon. Upon his release, Ross looks up
Shannon, who figures Ross knows where the heist money is stashed.
Meanwhile, two Vancouver police detectives are investigating the murder
of a police officer.

This ninth book in the Willows and Parker mystery series carries on the
tradition of conspiracy, stomach-turning violence, explicit sexual
detail, hair-raising suspense, and double plots that has won the author
many devoted fans.
