Review

This book continues the story of Thu (whom readers first encountered in
House of Dreams) as she returns from exile to right the wrongs of many
years ago and bring to justice those who plotted the downfall of
Pharaoh. The novel’s vivid picture of life in Pharaoh’s Egypt is
complemented by action that carries the reader along swiftly toward a
conclusion that contains an unexpected twist. The slightly disjointed
quality that results from the author’s use of three narrators
dissipates as the story gathers momentum.

House of Illusions is aptly billed as “the tri-umphant sequel to
House of Dreams.”
