Review

Raymonde, a Canadian, is living with her husband in North Wales when he,
like the two husbands who preceded him, falls to his death. After
Raymonde is arrested and charged with murder, we learn, via flashbacks,
a good deal about her growing up in Shannon Falls, Quebec, about her
life with her three husbands, about her friendships with Mona and
Elaine, and about her polymorphous sexual relationships. While there is
much to enjoy in this racy and oftentimes humorous book, the episodic
structure makes for very disjointed reading.
