Review

This book is a must for anyone wanting to fish for Atlantic salmon in
the Maritimes. It covers fly patterns, techniques, locations, equipment,
and history in a straightforward and functional manner. The accompanying
drawings are lucid and comprehensive. Of particular interest is
Brislain’s account of salmon history. Conservation notes provide some
perspective on the current state of the fisheries.
