Review

Eibner and Walker are a couple of enthusiastic church workers who happen
to think that children are important to the life of a church. In a book
that focuses on the Anglican and United churches, they observe that
“the effective inclusion of children and adults in the worship and
education life of a congregation is a tall order that challenges both
clergy and lay people to explore their baptismal calling together.” In
addition to describing how a church can become more child-centred, the
authors challenge churches to take a fresh look at the way they “do
Sunday School.” Their book is filled with excellent ideas that can be
adapted by any Christian denomination that is prepared to think afresh
about kids.
