Review

This straightforward and effectively designed guide for canoeists in
Newfoundland and Labrador provides an overview of canoe routes, history,
and wildlife in this region along a number of river systems. Water
fluctuation rates are given for some of the proposed trips. Information
on wildlife (and, in particular, fishing) is rather sketchy, and some of
the photographs lack clarity. Nevertheless, the book is a good resource
for anyone planning or considering a trip to this part of Eastern
Canada.
