Review

This nutrition and fitness book is cheerful, inspirational, and highly
personal, as demonstrated by the inclusion of family photos. The book
follows the standard formula. There are discussions of the difficulty
and necessity of losing weight, strategies for shedding those excess
pounds, and finally recipes and exercise tips. Armed and Dangerous is
part autobiography, part self-help guide, and part low-fat cookbook. Of
particular interest are the authors’ personal histories of health and
weight problems and their accounts of the successful weight-loss and
nutritional regimes they followed to achieve their current level of
fitness.
