Review

No issue has bedeviled political science more in recent years than that
of feminism. The same holds true for active politics, as citizens
struggle to break down old barriers and stereotypes and elect more woman
at all three levels of government. Since the late 1960s, one of the
leaders of this fight has been Jill Vickers of Carleton University. In
this book, she examines the public policy desires of women in both
affluent and developing nations. She also delves into foreign policy and
international institutions.

This important work deserves a wide readership.
