Review

Peewee is a facile hockey story that has everything: a hockey-mad hero, team development, hockey strategy, the melting of a heart frozen for 30 years, the reunion of a family separated by the Iron Curtain, and racial prejudice.

Suzanne Mantel explains that the team of huge, brutal giants that Peewee will skate against are English. From Liverpool? No — from Ontario, from Toronto, in fact. If she is so ignorant that she thinks a hockey team from Toronto is composed of English boys, then her translator should have picked up and eliminated her error.
