Review

The action is fast and furious in this entirely-eighties whodunit in which it takes quite a few pages before the reader (or the hero) discovers whodunwhat. Some of the ingredients are: murder, arson, and general mayhem; furious scenes of flight and fisticuffs; and just enough sex to leaven the lump. A hard-nosed, likeable journalist, Peter Coffin, and a luscious lady named Georgina, both dedicated to the destruction of a set of international evildoers of the deepest dye, engage in just about every sort of rough-and-tumble that can be made to fit into 300-odd pages. Compulsively readable, especially for computer fans who weren’t planning to travel by air anyway.
