Review
The central premise of this second volume of Uneasy Lies the Word (the
first volume appeared in 1982) is that the King James version of the
Bible is the one and only divinely inspired authority. Even the
conservative New King James version and New International version are
characterized by the author as unreliable indicators of divine will.
Magnus’s rambling, illogical, and poorly argued rant against those who
would dare to challenge the supremacy of the King James version has, in
the final analysis, very little to do with the real issues facing the
Anglican church.
