Give Me That Book!

This book is a collection of sermons written for the biblical reader in order to focus study on certain aspects of Christianity. Unfortunately, while the form of the book appears to be scholarly, many of the references are obscure, the authors unfamiliar, and the dates in the nineteenth century. The tone of the book is evangelical and fairly narrow-minded, restricting one’s outlook to leading life using only the Bible as guide, a view in disfavour by current mainstream theologians. Much of the “proof” given is anecdotal and rather heavy-handed.
