Review

This is an exploration of the relationships between myths and philosophies within the religious traditions of India. It is based on references to primary materials (i.e., the religious texts themselves) with relevance being applied to salvation (both sociological and philosophical). Discussed are the Vedic religion, the Visnu, Siva, and Devi. Half of the book is text; the balance consists of footnotes, photographs, bibliography (quite extensive), and a comprehensive index.
