Review

This is a collection of 27 essays published in The Whig-Standard over a period of seven years. Nominally religious, the essays more often take a political turn, of a liberal stance. Andrews comments on human rights, the industrialized society, the world community, the fact that religion and politics are not separable subjects, democracy, etc. A few of the more sentimental subjects are thrown in, such as Christmas and children, to round out the collection.
