Review

Tell Pa I’m Dead is a series of vignettes about growing up in Cape Breton, and also about MacDonald’s later years as a professional eccentric. Those who enjoy reading about children getting moth balls stuck up their nose or about men undergoing painful hemorrhoid operations might find some entertainment value in this book.
