Review

Tommy Hunter’s life story, as recounted to Liane Heller, is the straightforward account of a likeable man making his way the hard way, from a boyhood obsession with country music all the way to the top of his chosen field. He tells the story of his astonishingly long-term success with becoming modesty and gratitude to those who have aided and advised him through the years, and those who have performed with him, especially as regulars on “Country Hoedown” and “The Tommy Hunter Show.” Hunter is a man of strong and simple beliefs, in his family, his craft and his friends. Something about him elicits the loyalty of countless fans and admirers; it may well be the loyalty that is so much a feature of his own life. Illustrated with black-and-white photographs from his early days to present star status.
