Review

Cashing In by Jane Gaffin is a well-researched historical account of prospecting, exploration, mining, and miners in the Yukon. There are tales of hardship and danger, excitement and disappointments, heroism and skullduggery. This narrative reveals that to be a prospector takes courage, determination, stamina and good health, skill and knowledge of geology, motor mechanics, bushlore, self-preservation, and a goodly dose of luck. The gambler’s instincts are definitely an asset.

Cashing In is a very factual story that will especially interest readers familiar with the Yukon, its mining history, and its citizens.
