Review

The title and the excellent cover art of this fast-paced young adult high interest book leave little to be discovered. It is the sad story of a youngster misled into reckless driving combined with drugs and alcohol in order to prove to his scoffing peers that he’s no “chicken.” The tragic results of the Death Ride will haunt him for the rest of his days. Presented with a good deal of style, this moralistic title gets its grim message across while avoiding the fatal trap of preachiness.
