Review

Randy is a wimp. Everybody knows it. Especially Randy. Why in the world does he suddenly think he can survive trying out for the football team?

Under the watchful eye of his girlfriend Laura, Randy goes on a strict diet and training program. He intends to show those guys who taunt him that he “couldn’t make the Sun Valley Nursing Home shuffleboard team” a thing or two. As it turns out, early practice in running away from grade school thugs proves invaluable for Randy once he reaches the football field. He’s still hard to catch. This funny story of the high school worm who decides to turn is slight and silly, but cheerfully upbeat and definitely readable.
