Review
This Christmas fable tells of Raka’shah, the crippled slave of a cruel master, who joins the Wise Men and the shepherds in adoration of the Christ Child. She is healed of her hurts, and is rescued from her brutal enslavement to be returned to her home in Persia.
A clumsy blend of traditional language and modern idiom mars a charming legend. Chris Caldwell’s boldly colorful cartoon-style illustrations are ill-suited to the content of this brief storylet.
