Review
The author, as stated on the jacket, has apparently wanted to write a “bare naked book” for some time. She has certainly succeeded in doing so, with good taste and in a style which is both honest and open about body parts. This book informs the child about human anatomy in a manner which is positive, colourful, and easy to understand.
Simply written and beautifully illustrated, The Bare Naked Book is a useful tool for teachers and parents in dealing with children’s questions about their bodies. Furthermore, Stinson promotes a healthy attitude towards body image and body differences.
