Review

This wild and woolly adventure story combines the tragic situation of the victimized citizens of El Salvador with the most unlikely of wish-fulfillment romances, creating an odd and uneasy effect which isfurther complicated by unconvincing dialogue. The middle-aged heroine, suddenly in possession of considerable wealth, leaves her surly husband and safe Canadian home to go in search of her Salvadoran foster-child, Jonatan, about whom she has had premonitions of disaster.

This novel would qualify as readable escapist-romance literature.
