Review

Jeremy is a “poor little rich boy” who has his own television, video
recorder, computer, stereo, and telephone but little contact with his
friends or his adoptive parents. When Jeremy’s grandfather makes an
unexpected visit, the family is engrossed in TV and video games. One
night there is a power failure, and the house is plunged into darkness.
Amid candlelight, the family plays games and develops a new appreciation
for doing things together.

This book boasts a positive message—that there is more to life than
material possessions—and colorful and charming illustrations.
Recommended.
