Review

“Would you love a rooster that wakes people up? Yes. I’d let him
drink from my favorite cup.” And so begins this book, a series of
read-aloud rhymes, each on a “Would you love a ...” theme. The
rhymes are accompanied by warm, brightly colored, whimsical drawings,
which have an originality about them that the text, with its familiar
theme, lacks. Nonetheless, Would You Love Me? follows a tried-and-true
formula and is likely to delight young readers. Recommended.
