Chicken, Pig, and Cow live in a popsicle stick house with no door built by Girl. The toys love their barn but are scared of Dog, who lives outside. One day, using Cow as a hoist, Pig and Chicken go exploring. Unfortunately, Cow is left behind because the wall is too high. Cow is sad and lonely without his friends. Suddenly, Dog moves the barn, knocking a hole in it and sending Cow flying! Quickly, Dog, Cow, Chicken, and Pig become friends.

Friendship is the theme Ohi conveys in this book. Children will easily relate to her lovable barnyard characters and big slobbery dog. Her soft, simple watercolours set on a plain white background intimately draw the reader into the story. Her simple text is easy to understand and relate to. Highly recommended.
