Review

This book contains a series of 52 lexicons—puzzles that combine elements of both crosswords and word searches. A clue in the form of a definition is given along with the number of letters in the corresponding word. That word may then be found in the diagram of letters. Each puzzle consists of 24 definitions that range from easier words of three letters, to more difficult terms of up to nine. Whether you solve the clues and find the words, locate the words and match them to the clues, or a combination of both, it is an enjoyable way to pass the time for those who like word games. Most parts of each puzzle are fairly simple to solve, but there are usually a couple of more challenging terms. Each lexicon can be completed in about ten minutes, and the answers are in the back if you get truly stumped. Often in word searches the uncircled letters will form a word or message. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. Despite this, it is generally a fun game and you might even learn a new word or two.
