Review

Readers searching for a brief introduction to the Goddess tradition
might begin with this book, which offers beautiful photographs of
“goddess sites” alongside brief explanation of various goddess
figures.

Traditions from a range of cultures and geographic locations are
represented in each of the book’s six sections—Creation, Fertility,
Purification, Transformation, Integration, Reverence, and Illumination.

Those who follow the Goddess tradition will find the pictures
rewarding, but those searching for understanding or critical evaluation
will not find it here.
