Review

Fans of the Red Green television show will be sure to get a few chuckles
out of this collection of short, zany pieces on automobiles, their
owners, and their drivers. Red, Harold, Old Man Sedgewick, and all the
gang up at Possum Lodge are well represented, as is the Handyman’s
Secret Weapon—duct tape. If you feel the urge to convert your K-Car
into a tank or fire engine, or you want to transport raw sewage in the
back of your station wagon, Red is more than happy to tell you how.

Red Green Talks Cars will probably be most enjoyed read a couple of
pages at a time. The book is abundantly illustrated with goofy drawings
and photos of Red, and its sidebars feature “memorable” bumper
stickers and the like. “Remember, if the women don’t find you
handsome, they should at least find you handy.”
