Megan has a cold and can’t go to day care, but her mother has to go to
work. Daddy has to drive his truck, and the babysitter has a previous
commitment, so Megan has to go to her mother’s office. There she
builds a playhouse by the desk, takes a donut from a snack tray at a
board meeting, and plays at being a monster with a secretary. The next
day Megan’s mother is sick and they stay home together.

The idea for this story came from a day that one of Wendy Orr’s
children spent in her office. Both youngsters and parents will be able
to relate to this common problem as well as enjoy the realistic pictures
by well-known illustrator Ruth Ohi.

Aa-Choo! is a warm, friendly story for preschool children about a
relevant life experience; it is a pleasant read, especially when you
have a cold.
