Review

This activity book is a compilation of word searches, mazes, puzzles,
and other activities based on the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted
Police. It contains a considerable information about the force from its
beginnings as the North-West Mounted Police in 1873.

It is difficult to know for what age group Hunter compiled these
activities. Some can be done by beginning readers, while other could be
quite challenging even for an adult.

The text requires fairly well-developed reading and comprehension
skills. Most children who could understand the text would not be
challenged by several of the activities.

The colorful cover illustrations will appeal to tourists looking for a
souvenir picture of Canada, and the activities will engage the minds of
children of various ages.
