Review
This resource book on kites presents information on their origins and
history, relates stories about kites, and offers step-by-step directions
for their construction. The language level is pitched to readers around
10 years old, but the subject matter will be of interest to older and
younger children, and even to adults. There is an international
emphasis, combining kite lore and legend from such diverse countries as
China, Japan, Thailand, and India. The book also includes detailed
instructions for the building of various kites. Photos of remarkable
person-carrying kites and amazing stunt kites make this a well-rounded
kite compendium.
