Mackey has written plays for the stage, radio plays for cbc, and
educational scripts for School Broadcast. He is also a teacher. This
book is his first novel for young adults.

Andrew’s adventure begins when he wakes to discover his mother is
frozen in time, and Ground People have come to ask for his help. They
want to stop industrial and nuclear pollution from seeping underground
and threatening their survival. As Andrew explores the underground
world, he encounters Raggets, which thrive on the pollution that is
weakening the Ground People. He helps fight the Raggets and defend the
Ground People from their aggression, as well as from hazardous wastes.
The story is action-packed.
