Review

Sixteen-year-old Jeremy plays guitar in a band called the Hungry
Lizards. The Lizards get their big break when they win the Battle of the
Bands at the Dungeon, a local bar. Their prize is an eight-month
contract at the Dungeon, playing four nights a week. But when Jeremy
tries to juggle school and his music career, his life becomes very
complicated.

This book has everything to recommend itself to the reluctant reader.
Many young people will be keenly interested in the subject matter.
Choyce is familiar with his material: he, too, played with a band during
the 1960s. The story line is nicely illustrated with black-and-white
sketches. The cover design is simple and slick. Highly recommended.
