Review

A crow named Joe becomes a family pet, and trouble follows. The children
discover him in the pasture and bring him home. The story of mischief
and fun is told in rhyme, with easy rhythm for reading aloud.

The two children find Joe gone one morning, and are left wondering if
they will see him again or perhaps find some other crow who needs their
care. They conclude there could never be another crow quite like Joe.

Saskatchewan writer and storyteller Peter Eyvindson has published a
number of children’s works. Winnipeger Doug Keith earned the 1989
Signature Award for best illustration. This is the second book on which
Eyvindson and Keith have collaborated.
