Review

Nearly Noodles is a rhyming book about Mr. Oodle’s noodle factory,
where noodle people test the noodles before they go to the stores for
sale. When the noodles pass the rigorous inspection of Borak, Dunn, and
Hester, they leave the factory for “homes across the land, from the
west coast to the east.”

Nearly Noodles is humorously illustrated by Steven Hunter and would be
an excellent choice for a primary-grade unit on food; it is a joyful
book for young noodle lovers. Another in the bright Annikins series, it
is an inexpensive addition to a small child’s personal library
collection. Perfect for grandparents to have in their pockets as little
gifts for visiting youngsters.
