Review

This book is based on recipes used by Pam on the ytv program Take Part.
No guidelines are given as to the age of the intended audience, but the
busy layout and detailed text suggest the cookbook is intended for older
children. Many of the final results, however, appear to be geared toward
younger children, given the emphasis on fun presentations and on such
flavor favorites as peanut butter and tuna. Regrettably, Collacott has
not included any true supper dishes—yet supper is the one meal that is
most often cooked. Dorothy Elliot’s Step-by-Step may be a better bet
for the novice cook than this.
